Static Host UK is live — free, GDPR-compliant static site hosting with built-in analytics and form processing, all on UK infrastructure. No cookies, no US cloud providers, no nonsense.

I’ve been banging the drum about technical sovereignty and privacy for years now. Today I’m putting my money where my mouth is. I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Static Host UK — a hosting platform built from the ground up to do things properly.

What Is It?

Static Host UK is a hosting service for static websites. If you’re running a site built with Hugo, Jekyll, or plain HTML, you can deploy it straight from your GitHub or GitLab repository — including private and self-hosted repos. Push your code, and we handle the rest.

But hosting is just the starting point. Every site gets:

• Privacy-first analytics — pageviews and referrers without cookies, fully GDPR compliant
• Form processing — email and webhook submissions with spam protection, no third-party services needed
• Custom domains with free HTTPS — automatic TLS certificates from Let’s Encrypt
• Performance baked in — Brotli compression, HTTP/2, sensible caching, and proper security headers

All of it running on UK infrastructure.

Why Build This?

Because I was tired of the compromise. Every mainstream hosting platform either harvests your visitors’ data, routes everything through US cloud providers, or both. If you care about GDPR compliance — and you should — the options have been frustratingly thin.

I wanted something that matched the principles I advise my clients to follow: keep data minimal, keep it local, and don’t hand it to someone who’ll monetise it behind your back. Nothing on the market ticked every box, so I built one that does.
