Un-managed hosting means you will have to look after your own server and keep its vital operating software up to date, check for security holes and generally do everything yourself! If you rather let a professional take care of it for you, choose a fully managed server.
Please be aware that I run regular security scans across all my servers and that machines found to be compromised maybe disabled without prior warning. Make sure that you keep your server secure at all times (especially on Windows machines), as I will pass on charges for any damages to you! I keep my network as secure and high-performing as possible. Please help me archive this by looking after yourself.
Windows Servers need to run Anti Virus and Spyware software at all times to help combat abuse. You also need to run a software firewall (like Windows Firewall) or – and this is highly recommended – a hardware one. Firewalling and load-balancing services charges are available upon request.
