Washing Machine Help

Ever wondered how to fix your washing machine? Want to get rid of nasty smells? Then you just got to check out www.washerhelp.co.uk for all the things you always wanted to know but were afraid to ask.

Our washing machine performed badly recently and the smell from the drum really got to us, so I googled a little and discovered some nifty tips:

To remove smells use baking soda or soda crystals in your empty drum once a month. Just put in a few table spoon fulls, put it on 60C and put it on a standard or short washing cycle. The soda crystals will disolve all the rubbish that’s clogging up your machine and removed the smell.

Use 60C to wash bed linen, especially when using non-bio detergent like me. On 40C the detergent is not disolved properly and bed bugs are known to survive at 40C without too much problem. Even though 60C is considered a waste of energy, if you want clean cloths, a clean machine and get rid of bed bugs, it sure beats the few pounds you save in a year.

Instead of fabric softener, use soda crystals to de-smell and de-stain your cloths. It’s environmentally friendly, fragrance free and much cheaper!
