That’s right, I’m running a little competition to help me improve my new website which is in beta throughout December. It’s simple: Take a good look around the new version of the site, register using “betareview” as the invitation code and post your comments on the competition thread.
It’s nearly done and it will be ready by the next weekend! The new site is going to tie things together a lot better and make it easier to find the information you are looking for. Also, there’ll be more regular blog posts and updates on what’s happening, along with a more comprehensive portfolio section. I can’t promise you more videos right now as I’m pretty busy but there will be some in the future and most likely be of current stuff rather than previous work.
This is the excellent, if not moving, TV ad for Hovis bread currently airing in the UK. It shows a young lad running through history after picking up a load of fresh Hovis bread from the baker. Call it a “historical commercial” why don’t you (not).
The original “Lead a Mueller Life” TV commercial using a remixed version of Nina Simone’s “Ain’t Got No…I’ve Got Life“. It’s currently being re-used in the Muller (sic) Shropshire campaign.
I’m trying out the wonderful buzz-word friendly world of Grid hosting (aka Cloud Computing) thanks to Flexiscale.com. What better way to test it than with my own website, stressing the 512MB of RAM and the single virtual CPU core. Flexiscale.com operate a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) billing model where you can set up a virtual server appliance to your liking (mine is 512MB RAM, 20GB HDD, 1 CPU running CentOS 5) and pay for what you use (i.e. CPU time at £0.05 per hour). You can change those settings any time you like and scale it up or down, without having to worry about buying memory or moving your files.
