Apple Moves to Intel
This is not an April fools joke but a dream finally coming true! Apple announced at this years WWDC that its software will run on both PowerPC (Motorola) and Intel platforms from 2006. This will enable much cheaper Apple hardware and finally a user friendly, stable and beautifull GUI on an IBM compatible personal computer. Apple has now released a Developer Transition Kit to aid development and beta testing. It is available for $999 from Apple’s Developer Network.
Apple also suggested dual booting with Windows and more compatibility with Windows programs. Although this might be initially archieved through an emulator but later could run natively.
Imagine the possibilities. Microsoft be afraid, be very afraid ![]()
