HD Video Camera Production Kit Rental in Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire) Now Available

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

Rejoice! I have decided that it is time to share my HD video production equipment with you. Not the easiest decision for a cameraman to make their gear available to others and many colleagues have warned me such a thing may be dangerous, but times are what they are… .

Check out the new page dedicated to renting my HD video camera and production gear on the page aptly titled “HD Video Camera Rental in Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire)“!

Company Name Changed to Brighter Computing Ltd

Saturday, August 20th, 2011

I have changed our company name to Brighter Computing Ltd and all services will be provided through that from now on. Axel Segebrecht is a brand name under which I will continue to provide media & web design, video production, photography, search engine optimisation (SEO) and related creative services.

Over on brighterComputing.com, the main company website for Brighter Computing Ltd, I will focus on providing computer help to people and businesses in Milton Keynes and London (and anywhere in between).

New services include a personal computer shopper that helps you get the computer or gadget that’s right for you, at the best price and set-up to suit you.

All existing services such as Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting, domain name registration and management, online privacy and security, computer refurbishments, backup and archiving solutions, and CAT5/6 network installations continue to be offered of course.

Have a look at the new brighterComputing.com website and let me know what you think via Twitter (@brightertweets) or directly on the new Facebook page (http://fb.brightercomputing.com).

Improved portfolio section added

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

Just a quick note to let you know that I have made improvements to the portfolio section on my website. Instead of seeing just ‘flip cards’ with recent web design projects, you now see a list of recently added content from both video and web design categories, with links to the respective sections.

The two new sections are (as you may have guessed) web design and videos. To start off the latter, I have added the recently shot videos for Lydia Baylis and the latest website I designed for Lucerne Clinic in Notting Hill.

Please have a look and let me know what you think by posting your comments below.

After nearly ten years we thought it is about time to finally make our vows in front of our closest family members on October 31.

Also, I am proud to announce that Lydia is pregnant with our first child (at time of writing she is in her 14th week)!

So there you have it, if you haven’t heard it already on Twitter and Facebook. It’s official – I’m taken :D

Web Hosting Prices and Service Updated

Saturday, October 16th, 2010

I have taken a long hard look at the best way to improve how I provide web hosting to my customers recently and the new web hosting service reflects this now.

Usually web hosters sell you lots of different cheap services and baffle you with jargon. Before you know it your £2 hosting package explodes to £20 and your web site still only works for half the time! Shared hosting, dedicated servers, virtual private hosting – its a complicated offering. The way I do hosting is somewhat different.

I’m working on two new blog websites for Lydia Finch and Jo Travers. Lydia’s new website will host independent reviews and summaries of books she is reading, focusing on military history and poetry. Jo’s will provide help on dieting and nutrition. Both sites are currently under development and set to be published in spring 2009. More updates and previews coming soon.

Update on Website Development

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

As you may or may not have noticed, I combined my personal blog, my Axle Video Productions website & blog, with this new one (www.axelsegebrecht.com), to be the only place for all things “Axel”.

The primary site provides you with all the details about who I am, what I do and for how much I am likely to do it. The blog combines both work and personal life (if such a thing actually exists), my experiences as -what some describe- an independent media producer, as well as more generic tips, tricks and reviews on all things media, film and equipment (or should that be gadgets?).

Since I’m in the middle of moving countries (again), expect some more Twittery rather than full blown posts or in fact the much delayed “new look”. But then again, work is more important than play(ing with a new look for ones website). ;)
